Helping Homecoming Farm

November 18, 2018

On Saturday November 10, 2018, a volunteer group of 20 people lead by CK's partner Lisa Ricciardi, lend a helping hand to Homecoming Farm by spending the day cleaning up the crops as Homecoming Farm prepared for the winter. Homecoming Farm is an "organic garden project" lead by volunteers to provide a sustainable way of providing organic fruits and vegetables to the homeless.

The group manually pulled out tomato stakes, dead tomato plants and pepper plants, and other general clean up tasks to keep with the farms sustainable mission of not using chemicals, such as pesticides, and machinery to reduce their carbon foot print.

Thank you to all the volunteers that helped out in the project and a special thank you to Lisa Ricciardi for continuing to lead by example and give back to our community.
